Behind every training programme is a person learning something they hope will change what comes next. Our photography for EdoJobs puts that person at the centre of the story.
The work
The demonstration. The question. The moment a learner tries for themselves. These are the details that help an audience understand what a training programme actually involves.
Through our work documenting EdoJobs trainings, we bring attention to the people doing the learning and the practical skills being shared. The story is about more than attendance: it is about what participants are being equipped to do.
That is the responsibility of development storytelling: show the work clearly, respect the people involved and keep the promise of a programme distinct from the outcomes it has already demonstrated.

EdoJobs × GIZ SKYE
More than 300 young people across Edo South, Edo Central and Edo North took part in practical training spanning fashion design, hairdressing and barbering, catering and hospitality, paint production, media and other vocational trades. The photographs make the scale personal: different hands, different trades, one shared route towards employment, enterprise and a sustainable livelihood.

Edo Innovates × GIZ SEDIN
During a Data Analysis class at Edo Innovates, GIZ SEDIN adviser Osayi Iyalekhue connected Power BI, Excel and collaborative tools to a wider purpose: using evidence and technology to make development more sustainable. The session moved beyond software, helping participants see how better data can lead to better decisions and more lasting results.

In a packed learning room, participants worked through practical cloud-computing tasks with Amazon Web Services. The programme was designed as more than technical instruction: it gave emerging professionals real-world digital skills and a clearer route into a fast-growing global field.

Across Edo State, Job Centres support people with job profiling, CV reviews and matching with employers. Interns gain real workforce-support experience, while online sessions build communication, teamwork, critical thinking, adaptability and workplace professionalism. The images show opportunity taking shape through focused, one-to-one conversation.

Through the GIZ SEDIN and Sustainable e-Commerce for Growth programmes, EdoJobs and Edo Innovates launched a Centre for Digital Business and E-Commerce Skills. It gives entrepreneurs, MSMEs, startups and aspiring business owners practical tools to compete, reach markets and build sustainable businesses—connecting digital knowledge to decent work and inclusive growth.

A World Bank-supported delegation from the Kaduna and Katsina Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment visited EdoJobs to study how skills, innovation and creative enterprise are connected. Their tour of the Job Centre and Edo Innovates became an exchange of working models—showing how strong documentation can make local systems visible, transferable and open to wider collaboration.
